Grief

Grief sits nestled between love & sorrow.

Memories flooding through broken gates.

The heart racing yet a void lingering in my gut.

In what space do we find comfort in our own pain?

Knowing the relationship that you have between yourself and the passed is sacred only between those walls you both shared.

There is no understanding of what another goes through in grief.

It hurts all the same but with different faces.

“Here lies the face of the broken girl who will always miss her.”

Your soul but an extension of my heart.

Wishes only drown the truth that you were once here and now you are not.

Not in the form you once took.

Grief is but a place nestled between my heart and my pain.

But you, my dear, hold a special place within my heart.

Until the next.
